Like most live-theatre organizations, our 2020-2021 season evaporated in a cloud of viral particles.
With regret, we’ve postponed the summer 2020 production of The Merry Wives of Windsor until 2022. We’re now looking forward to an exciting 2022 season that kicks off with Hamlet in March and The Merry Wives of Windsor in July.
We’ll stage Hamlet in the Black Box Theatre which is a space that provides an intimate setting for what many regard as Shakespeare’s finest achievement. Shakespeare Kelowna and MadFox Theatre are co-producing the play with guest director Christopher Weddell, a founding member of Bard on the Beach. Pete MacLeod, who stars in the title role, is supported by a who’s-who of Okanagan talent.
We’ll present The Merry Wives of Windsor outdoors at Spearhead Winery. Directed by Stephen Jefferys and starring Brian Haigh as Sir John Falstaff, The Merry Wives is a rollicking, hilarious farce. Mark your calendars and watch for ticket information in the coming months.
