Cast List for The Two Gentlemen of Verona
Avery Kirk - Proteus Avery is a recent high-school graduate who endeavors to pursue his dream of acting. He has previously appeared in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “The Laramie Project”, among others. Avery plans to attend UBCO in the fall.
Brett Thomas - Valentine Brett just finished a successful run as Bottom in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at KSS. He’s thrilled to play a romantic lead instead of an ass.
Eleanor Crook - Julia Eleanor is in her fourth year at Queen’s University in Ontario. This is her second time acting with Shakespeare Kelowna, having played the integral role of Simple in Merry Wives of Windsor. She is delighted to be returning, having been lured back to the Okanagan for yet another year.
Cassandre C. Bouthillier - Sylvia I'm a Master's student at UBCO. This is my first Shakespeare play and I'm really excited to be working with such a lovely cast and crew. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a play, but it feels great to be doing something that I truly enjoy.
Paul Henry - Page This is Paul's fourth play with Shakespeare Kelowna, having been Lennox in Macbeth; Snout and Egeus in Midsummer Nights Dream and Master Page in Merry Wives of Windsor. Paul would like to thank the enthusiasm and inspiration of my fellow actors and in particular the imagination and hard work of Stephen Jefferys and the production crew. Let this be an evening of "mirth and rare solemnity"
Rod Shuttleworth - Lance Rod Shuttleworth (Launce) is known for being tall. He last attempted Shakespeare thirty-something years ago when he played Leontes in a school production of A Winter’s Tale. He is honoured and delighted to be taking on a supporting role opposite the redoubtable Copper.
Don Plant - Speed Don's been involved in Kelowna's theatre scene since the early '90s. He's happy to be part of another Shakespeare Kelowna show, and to perform with such a talented pooch has taken him to a new level.
Isabel Donati-Simmons - Lucetta, Outlaw Isabel is going into Grade 12 at KSS. She has appeared in numerous plays with TKS, Bumbershoot Children’s Theatre and the KSS Night Owl Theatre Company. This is her first production with Shakespeare Kelowna.
Shan Rajapakshe - Thurio, Outlaw, Eglamour Shan is very happy to be part of Shakespeare Kelowna, as this is his first production of the sort. He would like to thank the cast and crew for their dedication, and his family fortheir unending support and love.
Spencer Lupul - Panthino, Outlaw This is Spencer Lupul. A man who has just now, for the first time, ever, in the history of the world, been on stage in a Shakespearian style, and hopefully not the last. He will not fail, for, lovers break not plays.
Jamie McLean - Hostess Jamie is very excited to be doing her first show with Shakespeare Kelowna! She was last seen playing Helena on the KSS stage in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and can be seen later this summer as Princess Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress with Bumbershoot Children’s Theatre. Jamie advises that you slather on some sunscreen and hopes you enjoy the show!
George Snowdon - Antonio George has had roles in most of the productions of Shakespeare Kelowna. He likes the minor roles - they get him involved in the fun and games of rehearsals, performances and parties without the stress of playing the hero.
Copper - Crab The role of Crab is played by Copper, who has dreamed of being onstage since he was a puppy.
